Imaginary Friends

I want to digitalize this. Maybe tomorrow I will do. Pink and yellow are two colors associated with happiness and joy. I wanted them to represent a healthy (romantic) relationship.

Maaaaaaan, I like him but feel nervous when brainstorming his settings... I can't put him with Laichi as his colour is too similar to Laichi's and it will cause some confusion if they talk together... Ruy and Laichi have... an interesting relationship. Even though Laichi always insults Pompo, deep down he doesn't want Pompo to improve himself at all. In other words, he is emotioally dependent on him in an unhealthy way. Laichi often lies to look smarter than he actually is. He avoids Ruy as he knows his real intentions. Ruy tries to understand Pompo's feelings, but he fails to get emotionally connected to him. He's also the only one who knows how (badly) Laichi affects Pompo. I want to redraw the dad tomorrow...

  I find it very hard to draw him... It's just hard to keep it fluffy and huggable all while still making him look manly somehow? Also his fur color makes me very uncomfortable ngl. Mate, I don't want to draw him again. Take care.

No idea why I've been naming these as a "blog post" when I don't talk about my personal life. Well that's a lie coz I know. I just can't come up with a better name. I believe I have 4 female (named) characters at total right now? Terry: Pompo's mom Rosita: Pompo's sister  Lily and Violet: Pompo's nieces (Rosita's kids) I rarely draw female characters so I want to draw Terry in my comic. I want Mumu to actively interact with her because he misses his mom.

It was too late when I realized I didn't draw her hair accurately. I can't come up with solid settings about them. Right now, they're both (meant to be) too soft on Pompo. Especially Terry is very spoiling. I'd say because he's the cutest? (and even more so than Rosita...) Pompo loves both of them and constantly miss them. (I mean it's a healthy and normal feeling but Pompo has too much nostalgia.)

It's been a while since I drew on paper last time. Gotta redraw Rosita as she looks weird... Coloring was fun though.

The perfectionist phase starts suddenly inside me. In my opinion, the true "perfectionist" wouldn't do anything as they fear to look at the results. Right now, I just can't draw anything as I find compositions (layouts?) too similar to the past pages, (which is true by the way.) In other words, every time I draw, I don't get to like how it turns out. I have a hard time continuing the story tbh. I build Pompo's backstories but I feel like it doesn't make much sense (it makes sense by himself but doesn't when I try to make him have past interaction with Laichi.) and Idk how to insert them naturally anyways. Gotta think about (psychological) perspectives too. Idk if I should focus on Pompo or Mumu. Well, focusing on Mumu looks... rather unexpected though. Anyways, Pompo's siblings will reappear... Even though they look controversial.
