The beginning of true thick line era. But characters' head and proportions are not much different.
But their eyes got simplified. (No gradation.)
I hate this page. Looks creepy tbh. But Pompo chan finally got what he wanted and I believe this should be a heartwarming scene.
Ah yes yes! I should mention that the show they're watching is a real show called Mucha Lucha.
It's not a a Mexican cartoon, and HELL! even the creators are not Mexicans!
But it's good. You should watch it.

Now I realized that the second panel looks very uncanny. Maybe I'll fix it later...

After this page, it seems I forgot what I drew previously and focus more on cuteness and light-hearted comedy so I hope you can enjoy the next post.

I love this page. I want this kind of a page sometimes. They have to understand they're different. I also want to contrast Laichi's "violent and forceful" and Pompo's "guiding" When I say guiding, I mean Mumu can tell Pompo what he feels even when they don't agree. Man, I can't believe his heart is still functioning after eating fried butter. Again the pacing issue is very serious.   I just wanted to draw the rainbow wave. Yay I love this page! It was A NIGHTMARE to color those glittery clothes. It should be very obvious, but the song name is called Boogie Shoes. But this is also a reference to a movie called  Knock at the Cabin . A gay guy loving disco is too stereotypical I feel... Heck, Pompo chan is full of stereotypes. Gotta work on that. That artificial-looking juice is not alcohol. Purple is grape soda and pink one is lychee soda. I cried while drawing this page... Tbh, all those wholesome pages made me overly emotional while drawing.

A28 Purple up

So this is the last day of their bonding vacation (feels kinda weird. I think it's too short to be called a vacation) Took me a while to find out the right colors of purple for their clothes... I had to make em purple as it's the mixture of their personal colors (red and blue.)
