extra extra No.1

These are some of my characters' background stories I have in my mind right now...

I gotta tell you in advance. There might be some timeline errors.


Back when Pompo was just a child, he was just as cheerful as his adult self.

But people didn't really like him because he was lethally dumb and couldn't read the room.


Just like Pompo, Laichi was not doing very well at school. He frequently skipped school.

He didn't have a good family either and using it as an excuse to constantly abuse Pompo verbally.


They were in different years so they had no connections at school until they were both forced to participate in a dentention course.


Hmm I guess I want to make a short story based on these in the future...

Progress B1-B17

 I never realized I felt so rushed that I made 17 pages... 15 of which are unfinished. It's very hard to draw Ruy's eyes for sure. He's the only one with glasses and I've never drawn characters with glasses before. I watched Buzz on Maggie for reference because most of the characters have big eyes and one character wears glasses. Here are the old version of these two pages above for comparison.   B3-B17 (29/11) (2/12) I feel like Ruy has a narrow range of expressions because until this page, on every single page, he has one expression... that is, just constantly sweating. I gotta make Ruy a little shorter here. I feel like this is too inappropriate to be taken as a joke.

A28 - A36 painting workshop

Hey sorry for reposting this page. No changes are made. I just put this one here coz this... chapter? feels more complete with this page. I just now realized there is a huge error in this page so I might edit later. So urm... I actually want them to reappear... (Sorry not sorry.) I couldn't quite think of their personalities. So there will be some changes maybe...  It's such a shame... They deserve their own series. Note (28/7/2025): I now think the mom looks too short. I guess this is it. This is the end! I want them to be happy although I usually like sad endings better. By the way, remember what I said earlier on this blog? I said remember how big Pompo looked compared to Mumu. Here, he looks much bigger than these two below. Well of course the body-to-face ratio is different so that's one reason. Another one is that when you don't see his full body, he looks much bigger than he actually is...

A22 - A27 grooves

I love this page. I want this kind of a page sometimes. They have to understand they're different. I also want to contrast Laichi's "violent and forceful" and Pompo's "guiding" When I say guiding, I mean Mumu can tell Pompo what he feels even when they don't agree. Man, I can't believe his heart is still functioning after eating fried butter. Again the pacing issue is very serious.   I just wanted to draw the rainbow wave. Yay I love this page! It was A NIGHTMARE to color those glittery clothes. It should be very obvious, but the song name is called Boogie Shoes. But this is also a reference to a movie called  Knock at the Cabin . A gay guy loving disco is too stereotypical I feel... Heck, Pompo chan is full of stereotypes. Gotta work on that. That artificial-looking juice is not alcohol. Purple is grape soda and pink one is lychee soda. I cried while drawing this page... Tbh, all those wholesome pages made me overly emotional while drawing.
